Veg Curry Chicken

It has come to this 😔 DIY #currymee at Life Cafe because they refuse to just make this a thing! I mean, I guess there’s a plus to them not serving this with #rice by default ✌️ They’ve also changed the #fakemeat a bit 🤏 It’s now a more cakey #seitan which absorbs a lot more of the #curry than before. The #vegancurry, for what it’s worth, tastes better now too 🥘 …or Singapore has left me desperate, idk 🤷‍♀️ This is as of 24th October 2024 by the way 😉 since this whole #bringbackdates thing is going nowhere 😭

It’s odd that some dishes here don’t have a side of rice. Case in point, this fascinating #curry #chicken dish before me 😮 I had this among many other sides with @dafnelately for dinner a couple months back. She confidentially remarked it wasn’t #spicy 😊 I could only catch her brother’s amused chuckle after the bite 😂 My first bite gave a wonderfully #aromatic #spice hit. Not 5 seconds later, the #spicy punched me in the throat 🥵 It wasn’t super spicy but it wasn’t mild! I think it went really well with how #sweet this #vegancurry was. Though, gladly, it held more savouriness than their other saucey selections 😋 This majesty of #spices was the perfect coating to the bouncy #mockmeat as well as the gently boiled carrots and potatoes 😝 Personally, I don’t need a lot of bite. So this softness was just great. I reckon it’s meant to provide consistency to marry with the soft pieces of tofu too 😜 This was RM 18.90… I remember being none too please about that the first time I read it. And yet, I’d probably order this again on a slight splurge 😗

Hey, while I’m reviewing dishes here from last I might as well get back to these #throwback reviews from months past 😅 Did you know that #veganisnotscary to such an extent that I have an album with 2000+ photos of dishes to review? Don’t even get me started on my notes app with the “tasting notes” and hints for future reviews! 📝 I do judge food by it’s appearances, sorry not sorry for being problematic 🤷‍♀️ but gosh can’t you just tell that this is an amazing #curry! It wasn’t as #spicy as I had hoped for, more a comforting warm than anything else but it was delicious in its own right 😋 Thick too! Nothing too much to say of their potato 🥔 or #fakemeat 🐣 additions, it was great all around!
