As usual, all their savouries, scones, and drinks are refillable. Although the savouries comes in bite-sizes, it was really filling that it also covered my supper! 😂 I thoroughly enjoyed the selection of desserts too. I have to say, this is worth the visit! #hightea #sgeats #veganin2022
mum got the vegetarian version and she said the vegan desserts actually looked better 🤭.
Now I’m not going to review every single item because I won’t have enough space 😅. Honestly, there wasn’t anything that I thought was yuck and I would give the overall rating a 9.5/10. I LOVE sweet things but it was quite overwhelmingly sweet. My rating would be 10/10 if there were a few more savouries to balance out the sweet. However, if you’re going to afternoon tea for desserts, then this is definitely the one for you.
My standouts:
✨Vegan tuna sandwich
I wish this was bigger or I had more of it! It really tasted like tuna with a milder flavour. My mum is an omnivore and she said she preferred the taste of this to actual tuna. The texture was very realistic and had a savoury, moreish flavour.
✨Apple Cinnamon Crumble
This was so nostalgic of my childhood. I had that moment that the critic had in Ratatouille when he remembered eating the same dish as a child. I nearly cried, it was so good. This small dessert had the perfect balance of sweetness, cream and spice. It had a strong taste of cinnamon but that is good for me as a cinnamon lover. I’m pretty sure I could eat this as a whole full cake.
✨Dark Chocolate Raspberry Fudge Cake
MY WINNER!!! This cake was so fudgy and decadent YUM! My mum tried it and she was jealous that she didn’t get it in her desserts 🤭. Although it was dark chocolate, it wasn’t too dark and still creamy. The sponge was fluffy yet fudgy, I don’t know how they did it but wow magic
