It is hard to find #vegan options here. Please note that even vegetarian and

vegetable labeled dishes have fish and oyster sauce, including their curry sauces. They were super nice, even though I asked a million questions, lol. There's just not a lot of vegan education, and there was a bit of a language barrier between the cooks and young employees working up front.

You can make their Pad Thai vegan, but you need to switch out the sauce to their plain brown sauce. Also, make sure to ask for no egg and add #tofu. It doesn't have a lot of flavor, so I added soy sauce packets. It's a very large portion for around $12 and great for sharing. They have a large dining room and outdoor seating.

***WHITE SAUCE NOT VEGAN*** ugh! Returned recently and asked as usual about the sauce and

they asked a long time employee whom I recognized from years ago and she said ***the brown sauce is vegan*** and not the white! So sorry!!!***
Tai’s Asian Bistro used to be known for huge servings, and I hadn’t been in years, but it definitely hasn’t changed. I stopped in during lunch hour, but they don’t have a lunch menu, so this portion was huge! They have a very large menu and the place is always super-busy. They also have sushi, bubble tea, and now beer.
It’s been years, but I used to get Pad Thai, and to make it vegan was told to ask for brown sauce and no egg,, but today I was told the only sauce was their white sauce, so did the same. I asked afterwards what was in the white sauce, but the lady couldn’t tell me, but was confident that was the vegan sauce. She seemed to think the garlic sauce might be vegan also, saying it doesn’t have oyster sauce, but they were busy, so I didn’t want to question further at the time.
Regardless, the dish didn’t have a lot of flavor, tasting mostly just the peanuts, so I added several packets of soy sauce. As mentioned, the serving was huge, but mostly noodles, which I was craving, so I was fine with. At $12.45, it seem like a fair price, due to portion size, but not sure if I would get it or anything with the white sauce again. I guess if you need to carb load, this might be a good dish at the time. Enjoy! ✌🏼
