This #lionsmanemushroom tostada was absolutely spectacular! It totally blew me away. The texture of the
#mushroom was exquisitely meaty; you wouldn’t even be able to tell that it’s a mushroom, it felt more like a vegan chicken nugget to me 😂 The mushrooms were also expertly seasoned and absolutely bursting with flavor at every single bite. I had never tasted mushrooms quite like this in my life.
Although the mushrooms were definitely the highlight of the dish, the other ingredients combined with the mushrooms perfectly to create an absolutely delectable dish. The tortilla was perfectly crispy, the veggies were fresh and crunchy, and the #guacamole added an amazing creaminess.
Also, it’s not on the menu, but if you ask the waiters for a vegan dessert they can get you sorbet! I got a peach sorbet which was heavenly. It was very high quality #sorbet, definitely not your typical everyday sorbet. It had the perfect amount of sweetness and contained real peach pieces which added a nice touch.
The ambience of the place was also marvelous. I don’t think you could get a better view anywhere else! It was a very enjoyable experience to eat delicious food while gazing at a beautiful view.
Despite all these factors, the tostada was only $12 SGD! They could have easily made it much more expensive because of the taste, quality, and ambience.
I’m from Los Angeles where we have very good Mexican food, but I have to honestly say, the Mexican food at this restaurant was by far the best Mexican food I’ve ever had, even better than the one in LA. So overall, I couldn’t recommend this place enough!!!
