I really enjoyed this, i mean it’s spinach in pastry, which is awesome, especially warmed. Something to note though, I think that this particular item is usually a spinach and cheese filo roll, but because it’s January, Tide Tables Cafe has veganised this item. Best ask beforehand, outside of January.
All through January, TideTable’s gone fully vegan, and have removed all animal products from their menu. I just love that a cafe has understood the motivations behind the veganuary pledge, unlike other places that use this opportunity to appeal to vegans with a discount or one extra vg item on their menu. Let’s hope more places learn from them.
I’m ashamed that it’s taken me so long to find this veg cafe despite going past them a number of times. Vegetarian cafe with a largely vegan menu (labelled clear). Salads, sandwiches, pies and pasties, and a range of hot foods too. Also lots of vegan sweets and cakes and more. Oh yes and they have a surcharge for cow’s milk, no extras for plant milks🤘!
Under the richmond bridge, by the bike and walking path, bike racks right outside the cafe, and plenty of outdoor seating with views of the thames. Also, they’re close to the Richmond ferry dock, if you’re coming by boat. One of the two entrances is step-free.
