Mapo tofu is one of my favorite Szechuan dishes. This dish isn’t for the faint
of heart. I’ve had mild, nontraditional versions that are seriously tasty but also serious imposters. You need—nay, DESERVE—the real thing. And Spicy Moon delivers just that. I would recommend this to share, along with a couple of milder dishes that will help to alleviate the spiciness of the dish. It’s flavorful, it’s beautiful, and it’s VEGAN. I just feel fortunate to live near enough that I can make trips to or order from Spicy Moon on a semi-regular basis. My taste buds are thrilled but my bank wants to do a wellness check.
