Really lovely! We’ve entered a bit of a heat wave recently, and this suave, delicately silky #tofu pudding is the perfect refreshment on stuffy days. It’s quite nourishing as sweets go, too! (If anyone was still wondering where vegans get their protein, it’s obviously the #dessert.) The tofu was freshly made — still warm at the time of purchase — using just three simple, #organic ingredients. It also came with a small cup of ginger-infused syrup to be spooned overtop for a light touch of sweetness. I don’t recall the exact price (somewhere in the range of $6-8?) but I got several servings out of this tub, so it felt like decent value. It does come in an excessive amount of plastic, but I was at least able to reuse the containers. Sogo is an all-vegetarian shop (beware of eggs) with plenty of Hakka Taiwanese eats: hot food, chilled/frozen products, and even dry ingredients like beans and lotus nuts. My advice is to be selective about what you buy — in general, most goods run expensive compared to other shops in the area. What sets Sogo apart is its soy products, the freshness and quality of which can’t be beat!
