Loved these little pumpkin cakes with sesame. It’s definitely different from the western version as this one is a bit more glutinous but still delicious nonetheless. The walnut dipping sauce really made the dish, it broke up the excessive stickiness and gave it a different taste and texture. A very clever dish and I would definitely recommend it! It’s part of the set and works well with the cucumber salad.
These taste like the traditional Chinese snack called 煎堆, a fried sesame ball or cake! The pumpkin flavor isn't strong but it's still really good - chewy and satisfying. #veganin2020
