Hummus with sumac, pomegranate & pita bread No doubt it looked stunning but unfortunately the taste was mediocre - portion was pathetic too 😗 But I did appreciate the innovative spin of adding pomegranate 👍 it helped elevate the overall taste profile Btw Sumac was a totally new term to me🤣 good to learn a thing or two these days Last photo: "sumac" 👉👉 a shrub or small tree with compound leaves, reddish hairy fruits in conical clusters, and bright autumn colours the fruits of the Mediterranean sumac, used as a spice, especially in Middle Eastern cuisine 😆😆 Plagiarised the abv off Google
I'd go back for the hummus alone. At first it tastes pretty standard but then you start to notice the complex blend of Arabian spices. Pita bread was forgettable though. It's not the flat kind so you expect it to be a bit crusty, but then it just turns out limp and puffy.
