Runaway Chickenburg

UGGHHHH! It’s so good and #gonetoosoon for my usual shot of the bitten cross-section 😅 As you can see, it was an absolute FEAST with @dafnelately @misskittysfantadisco and @waterlily 🤪 The brown seed bun was fluffy but had a nice glossy top that was ever so strong to hold this vessel together 😛 How could you go wrong with a #deepfried #veganchicken #burger #patty as #sweetdreamsaremadeofgrease 🤤 As per the strength of Brown Poodle, they had their perfect #vegancheese 😝 It also went sensationally with the also palate-blowing #veganmayo 😋 Thank goodness for the simple support of lettuce to help cut through the creaminess and grease 😗 We were supposed to have an upgraded sweet potato fries but they accidentally gave the regular. It was still great and expertly fried though👌 RM19 is a little more than I’d like to pay for but they nailed this #veganchickenburger 😚🤌 I can’t rave about this place enough! 😝

Argh they've moved! They used to have a nice little bungalow which they shared with a music school, but now they're in a shoplot just like any other. The vibe is now completely different, though they do try to retain that canine identity 😅 This is a pretty good #burger with a crunchy #soypatty and a generous slathering of #veganmayo studded with something. The burger bun has #seeds in it and offers excellent texture. A burger for sub-RM20 is good value I guess, though I topped up RM3 to have #sweetpotatofries on the side ☺️

Happy #throwbackthursday 🎉 I’ve not done #throwback reviews in a while, oddly so considering the massive size of my review backlog 😅 so now’s a good excuse as ever to push a few out I suppose! This #burger, sly as a #fox as it plays faux, the #chicken flavour in its #soypatty is not lost upon me here 🍔 The #veganchicken they used is more akin to an actual burger patty made of mince than it is to a “zinger”, a texture you’d more likely get from a mushroom patty, so it may be a matter of preference but really my #sweetdreamsaremadeofgrease heart and arteries alike found this just right 🫀 They also did the burger just right with a simple bed of lettuce 🥬 and some amazing, homemade I presume, #veganmayo 🐣 The experience of eating the burger was just right without having to fumble with greens that nobody wants anyway 😙 #unhealthyvegans It also comes with a serving of #fries that Sly the fox was overeager to jump into! 🦊 #foxesofabv ..and really you needn’t ask, just look at it! They were amazing!! 😋 At RM19 for this, it’s a little steep but not outrageous for the area. Brown Poodle is such a treat and with their new location, honest to Hekate one of the greatest things about Penang 🏝️ #bestpicks
