This #bagel from 200 Degrees Coffee is a new item since I was last in. I believe it was £4.50 or £4.95. The filling was pulled mushroom with applewood cheese and brown sauce on a poppyseed bagel.
The filling was great. The mushroom was delicious and the cheese melted nicely to it.
Brown sauce is a British thing. It’s a sweet and savory condiment kind of like bbq sauce. People put it on everything here but I rarely have it. There wasn’t a load on this, so I didnt mind it.
The bagel, though, was only bagel shaped. In reality, it was bread cut like a bagel! It cracked me up when I bit into it and realized. It was ok bread but absolutely not a bagel. It was a soft bread that collapsed easily. It was not boiled like a bagel. So nutty of them to call it a bagel!
A pretty tasty sandwich. I’ll probably have it again at some point ☺️
