Heard from the staff that 'poriyal' means a type of Tamil Nadu-style stir-fry incorporating grated
coconut. Any kind of fresh seasonal vegetables can be used. Ours came with carrot and green bean which were naturally sweet and tender. This dish looked homely but was flavourful! Would also recommend ordering this a la carte for those who prefer non-spicy food. (Allium-free, part of the main course for the signature 3-course lunch $38 which has a daily changing menu)
