My friend and I were seeing Broken Social Scene near Planta so I took the
opportunity to finally go. It was early enough that we could order from the happy hour menu so I got a couple of things from there but I was still hungry after, so I did a #treatyoself and got this $14 brownie haha. I thought it was odd this was the most expensive part of my order haha.
This was served warm, and they poured the hot fudge over it when it was brought to the table. I would've preferred they left the cup behind though 😅🤤 The brownie was dense and fudgy but still had some cake crumb vibes. I prefer all fudgy, but this was still lovely. It had vanilla ice cream, a fancy cherry that flavoured the ice cream a bit, and peanuts. If I get this again I'll ask for #nonuts because I don't like crunchy with my soft things.
I forgot to mention in some of my other reviews that this place was super #allergyfriendly and had all the items with soy highlighted separately for those with soy allergies, like my friend. Vegan places are usually more aware of allergies, but we'd never been to one that had a highlighted menu ready to go. That made my friend's ordering a lot easier, but it also meant we couldn't share the bang bang broccoli like I had dreamed 😅 I was still very happy with my order (minus the lettuce one...) The dessert menu wasn't highlighted but our server advised of the soy-free options without us asking. Very lovely!
