Substantial, sweet without being too sweet, and moist (I know many people hate that word). The pineapple and coconut flavors play similarly substantial roles in contributing the flavor of this dessert. The “bready” portions had a light sweetness. The dish would work well with or without the caramel drizzle, although I enjoyed that addition.
