Tasted soo good and so close to the actual Penang laksa. This shop has a lot of those mock meat dishes. But food taste wise, really nice. And a trick I've learnt-request for no MSG. They tend to use it in their dishes, something I've learnt after being severely dehydrated eating there on various occasions. This Penang laksa was sooo good tho.
Alrigh,t I’m a sucker for Penang laksa. In my 15 years of going vego, I’ve not had Penang laksa as often as I would’ve wished I did. It is just not as common as the curry laksa (or curry mee to the Penang kias😊) this side of the Causeway. This meal was perfect! Noodle and beancurd swimming in gravy so smooth and tangy thanks to the right amount of tamarind and pineapples. I’ve not been back to the Loving Hut in Joochiat in a seriously long time, but Zi Zai’s Penang laksa could’ve easily knocked Loving Hut’s off the top spot of SG vegan Penang laksas.
