Delicious on the go treat that offers value for money
I was happy to see a vegan option on the menu so thought I’d give
it a go. The pie was (sparsely) filled with lentils and chickpeas. I think there was chutney in there too as it had a sweet note to it. The pastry was flakey, but way to greasy so I didn’t enjoy that. It was R36 so not too expensive but could be improved. #pie #pastry #chickpeas #lentils #chutney
So the pastry of the pie was next level!! 10/10 I was in heaven. The
filling however was not such a vibe. It was very sweet from the chutney and quite rich. For a road trip it just felt a bit too heavy and wasn’t for me. I ended up eating the outer edges of the pastry but couldn’t have much of the filling. Still worth it to try the pastry! Here’s to hoping they come up with some more flavors! A spinach pie would be welcome🤩🙏🏽
