@sandrews’ recent Nourish Cafe reviews reminded me that I hadn’t yet published my experience from

about a month ago. I actually found it through abillion — turns out, the map actually functions pretty well in a population center like SF — and decided to check it out since it was only a short walk from my friend’s apartment.

The menu is pretty extensive (think lots of smoothies, sandwiches, bowls, and toasts,) with options to fit many different tastes. Those searching for a savory bite will find this warm #veganbowl a nicely balanced breakfast. It features brown jasmine rice, carrot ribbons, crunchy roasted cruciferous vegetables, button mushrooms, shredded red cabbage, and about half an avocado beneath a generous drizzle of creamy, garlicky red pepper almond dressing. Admittedly, the sauce was a bit bold for 8am in the morning (I was also ever-so-slightly hungover) but I still enjoyed this vibrant meal in the crisp, cool morning air of their sidewalk parklet. The portion size was reasonable, with prices ranging from $11 at the most basic (pictured) up to $14 with the option to add protein, like marinated tofu (+$2) or JUST Egg (+$3.) Definitely recommend stopping into this charming little #wfpb cafe — I need to try the waffle when I’m in the Nob Hill area next!
