love the idea of this classic dish turned vegan!! it was okay, the flavour was

a bit lacking but still enjoyable to eat, wish it tasted more like prawn, which some of the other dishes manage to do!

Nomvnom’s side dishes aren’t the most glamorous. i’d say the fries are probably the best

but they do have a variety of items more interesting than that. the sugarcane drumsticks has kind of like a “crab” taste and it’s deep fried in a nice battered coating, served on a sugarcane. It’s not amazing but it’s nice enough for me to have ordered it multiple times on the side. i also appreciate that they are better priced than the sides from other vegan fast food joints.

Decided to be adventurous so tried out another side dish from nomvnom. Personally, it is

not really to my liking as I find the texture to be a little softer than I would have liked. I think this is to mimic the vietnamese style of sugarcane prawns or something (it was so long ago that I have forgotten). I would still go for their mushrooms and soy nuggets haha

The sugarcane drumsticks side ($5.90) tasted like crab stick or prawn fritters, and came with

a mayo dip.

The taste is good and the outer layer is crispy. Not used to the soft

and mushy konjac texture. Delighted as I can chew on the sugarcane.

good idea and looks good but not out taste at all. cane is chewy and

consistency is not meatlike at all. get nuggets instead.
