NEXT Karubi & NEXT Harami Set

Pleasantly surprised with this meal! You get to grill your own meats on a personal grill. The set comes with a combination of 2 NEXT meats, salad, pearl rice, and some other greens. It is my first time trying NEXT meats- wouldn’t say it tastes exactly like meats, but the marinate is pretty good. I think the darker one is quite salty, will just order the other one next time. :) BTW, the additional cost for drinks is just bottled soft drinks. Not worth it to buy with the set! Bring your own water :D

ANYWAY please do take note that the sauce they use to marinate the meats by default is not vegan - good thing the manager told us cause we wouldn't have known. But you can always let them know to have it without sauce and they will give you salt/pepper instead to season. Even without the sauce this was sooooo yummy after grilling, better than Aburi-en's in my opinion. 🤤 A bit pricy but would come back again. Hope they keep it on the menu!

Gasp 🤭 I think this is the best plant-based meat I’ve ever tried, I am so impressed. Fairly juicy and tender like the real deal and nice to have a #meatalternative that’s not a burger or sausage. Not to mention the rice and salad were pretty tasty on their own too! #plantbasedmeat #japanesefood

This could seriously pass off as meat in a blind test! Well marinated and grilled, it had a good bite and wasn't oily at all.

UMMMM this tastes so much better than aburi-en's version?????? (i tried it at the suntec outlet) Somehow the marination is done better for the karubi and it masks most of the mock meat taste. It is pricey though, 15.80 sgd. Harami has a meatier texture. Although I must say, the proportion of meat in this is significantly lesser than the real meat options. #abillionturns3
