Mushroom & Chestnut Dumpling

Tried Mr Bean’s vegan rice dumpling for the first time and it didn’t disappoint! Tasted just like the traditional hokkien dumpling, with generous filling of mushrooms, chestnuts and mock meat. Highly recommend it 😋 #abillionturns3

$4! pretty average dumpling filled with mock meat and less mushroom and chestnut I hoped there’ll be:( honestly the mock meat looked so much like actual meat I was doubtful it was even vegetarian HAHA the mock meat was okay, my mum didn’t really like it though:/ the rice was nice and sticky and everything held together pretty well, just an average dumpling I guess! nothing special

I was pleasantly surprised that this was beyond my expectations. The rice and filling was perfectly spiced and it tasted exactly like the normal ones. My only complain is that there were too little mushroom and chestnuts :( I also recommend them to chop up the mushroom so we can get bits of it in every bite instead of having one huge piece alone. i personally prefer it without any soy meat fillings too.
