In my world you can
never go wrong with gula melaka.. love it more than maple syrup or agave. Maybe it’s because I’m Peranakan but if you’ve never tried it, please do! It can be an acquired taste for some, though.
Used to eat plain beancurd and 3-in-1 riceballs religiously but began wishing for more variety in Mr Bean. Soon enough, they came up with this and since then, I’ve been buying this more regularly. They really don’t hold back on the gula melaka, so if you’re not a fan of palm sugar, stay away from this or opt for less of it! If not, welcome to the gula melaka club :’)
