Sokko Happy Food is my favorite Costa Rican vegan restaurant. I’ve tried a number of things here and they are all delicious and fabulous, so I had high expectations of this #burrito 🌯 . But not all can be perfect and I didn’t really like it. Good thing is, it was like a “test”, they were trying new different things to add to the permanent menu, so they asked if I wanted to try it and I said yes, but it wasn’t very good :(. I didn’t like the flavor of whatever sauce they put in, it was tomato based, like a salsa, but weird. I think the main ingredient was like a shredded beef looking thing that it wasn’t good either. I guess the whole texture and consistency of it was like “soggy” and the mixtures of the flavors did not match good. I didn’t really remember what else was in there, I think pico, beans maybe? Anyway, didn’t taste too good. I ate it of course, it was edible but I’m glad they ended up not leaving it on the menu. The homemade potatoes were excellent and they have vegan ketchup and mayo of course. This dish was like $10-11, I guess it would’ve been ok if it was yummy. Like I said, everything else in this place is amazing, I still super recommend it, staff is so friendly and welcoming. But yeah, this test did not go too well. It’s not currently in their menu. #veganburrito #vegancostarica #costarica #latinamericanfood
