this now! Yay! This dish is yummy! It is not the mock fish sortā€¦ itā€™s made of beancurd skin sort. I also like the Mala sauce and peanut too šŸ˜‹ We have asked for less chilli cause the other ladies are WEAK haha. But it ended up with more numb/éŗ» taste and that the ladies donā€™t find it spicyā€¦ šŸ˜…. Next time, we shall not ask for less spicy haha! Alsoā€¦ please take note of the fire as our one got issue and we had our ā€œfishā€ pretty cold šŸ„ŗ We asked them to change fire a few time but it take pretty long for the plate to heat up šŸ„² a bit disappointed by that cause our fish ainā€™t the piping hot sort while others seems v hot with a lot steam.. else all good. The round table in the middle of the restaurant is facing insane strong aircon wind above, keep extinguished our fire and make me very cold by the end of the day too. I will siam that table next time. #veganisnotscary

As an ex-fan of Chongqing Grilled Fish before I turned vegetarian, I highly recommend this

dish!

Heard from the staff that this dish is fairly new.

I thought that they would use the vegetarian fish fillet (which I do not really like), but they had used a different ingredient for the "fish".

To be honest I don't know what was used but to me it came close to deep-fried crispy fish, so that adds brownie points for me.

Mala gravy was oily, but wells mala is always oily. Mala spicy enough šŸ‘


Taste is not over empowering which is good for those who are more health conscious.

The soybean based "fish" portion was quite generous although I was expecting more variety of toppings.
