Living in Brussels, Belgium in the Schaarbeek/Schaerbeek area, I gave this restaurant in the famous

Josaphat park a try for the first time. The menu lists several vegan, vegetarian and traditional options. Me and a friend went for the vegan wrap. According to the menu, the wrap should feature mushrooms, aubergines and sweet potato.
I never have too high expectations in restaurants, nothing can beat a good homecooked meal. Here, the dish featured a salad with rucola and lettuce, sprinkled with balsamico cream as well as (only) two cherry tomatoes ... the wrap comes warm, cut in half.
The wrap tastes quite good, but nothing to be remembered. We both wondered if there really was any sweet potato in the filling at all. If there was, then only very little. The mushrooms and aubergines however were tender, creamy and tasty. I had a herbal tea mix called "Yoga tea", which was good quality and tasted great.
So on the average quite a mediocre dish which could have benefitted from a more varied salad.
Cost price: 13.50 € per person on 28/10/2022, which I consider pretty expensive in relation to what one gets. However I am no restaurant aficionado.
Certainly not a memorable dish and no destination if you want to go for a true vegan culinary experience. But the positive thing about this place is its setting with the outside terrace and the fact that notwithstanding its name (la laiterie means the milk place/milk shop) there are at least several vegan options on the menu. So definitely a non-vegan place you can go to with your non-vegan friends or colleagues and where everyone can eat according to their personal preferences.
