Those with vegan kids will know how tricky it can be to find a restaurant with vegan kid-friendly options on their menu, so I was over the moon when Warwick advised they could organize a kiddies picnic basket for our 4 year old šššš (I opted to just order one basket, since I knew my 2 year old wasnāt likely to eat much)
Included in the basket (box):
š§ŗ Ciabbata with some kind of (tasty) sausage & tomato sauce on the side
š§ŗ cucumber sticks & corn with hummus to dip
š§ŗ a banana
š§ŗ a dried fruit stick
š§ŗ a packet of crisps
š§ŗ a juice box
š§ŗ bubbles
It would definitely have been enjoyed by an older child, but unfortunately my two struggled with the hard ciabatta. A little freshly baked something sweet would also have been appreciated (attached the non-vegan kids basket menu, for comparison, which includes quiche, banana bread, and a choc chip cookie šŖ).
At 150 bucks, I expected more ... definitely some room for improvement, nonetheless I appreciate that they are trying! The venue is great for kids with a spacious lawn, jungle gyms, and a water feature that they allow the kids to splash in š¦ a great spot to spend an afternoon.
For comments on the service, please see my other review of the adults picnic basket.
