Kare buroso ramen

LOVE THIS DISH! I get this everytime i go to wagamamas. Great mix of vegetables, coriander, spice, crispy tofu and noodles 🍜

This was described as: shichimi-coated silken tofu + udon noodles in a curried vegetable broth. topped with wok-fried mixed mushrooms, pea shoots, shredded carrots, chilli and coriander The #tofu was definitely the best part! I really liked the batter and dusting of flavour on top. It tasted just like curry powder. It was very one-note. Maybe if they added some lime or some soy milk. I didn't mind this dish. I ate it all. It was okay. The #udon was overcooked, which I didn't know was possible lol! It was £14.

I’ve read a number of favourable reviews for this dish, and I was not disappointed. swapped the udon for rice noodles (there’s info on which noodles contain egg/wheat). The curry broth was full of flavour, a little bit on the salty side for me but still very tasty. the mushrooms were also really tasty, and i just loved how the soft tofu had a crispy coating. 🍜🇯🇵Wagamama very generously sent me an email about a month ago saying I could come for a free meal, woo hoo! 🎉 I could choose between this kare burosu ramen, the yasai 🎃🍠🍆🍚katsu, which is my favorite, and a yakisoba. My partner likes noodle soups best and I was thinking the kare burosu was the closest to that. He was grumpy 😠being back at work, so I was trying to boost his morale. The mushrooms 🍄on top were wonderful. The shichimi-coated silken tofu 🫛as well was fabulously deep fried and presented. They went a bit overboard on the red 🌶️chillies which we had to remove. The curried veg broth was already quite spicy without the chillies. My partner loves udon noodles but I far prefer the taste, feel, and texture of normal ramen noodles. Udon is so slippery and heavy and you can get wacked or slapped in the face with it spraying sauce everywhere. I’m very grateful for my free meal here and look forward to going back and getting more side dishes which are their most delicious offerings. This is by far my favourite dish I’ve tired from wagamamas! The fried silken tofu pieces are stunning and the flavours are great. Still would prefer a different type of noodle to udon, but still really good. #wagamama #ramen #tofu
