This was the most visually striking of the taro #donuts on offer the week of
my trip, so I consider myself lucky that it survived the storm relatively unscathed! Sadly, this donut was all looks, with little substance where flavor was concerned. According to the menu board, it was supposed to taste of #locallysourced vanilla bean and cherry, with a sprinkling of crunchy cacao nibs overtop for good measure. I was slightly disappointed to find that this donut was mostly just sweet, with nothing to really distinguish it as cherry (a fruit which I love, and the lack of which was felt all the more keenly.) These donuts are on the smaller side, and at $4 apiece, I didn’t think this one was worth getting again. Instead, try another (honey-free) flavor — I especially recommend the chocolate or black sesame — for the most delicious experience.
