Post-movie dining options lately have been huge disappointments. Straight up, they sucked! All that changed
this last Saturday. Hareg Cafe may become my new goto spot.
I've walked passed this place too many times to count and it's a shame because the food here is incredible. My friend and I didn't even order. The server/owner asked our preferences and offered up each our own combo plates.
Other than the injera bread, I'm not sure of the correct names of the other items included in my platter. The red lentil stew was deliciously spicy tho and I doubled up on that. The food was so good I almost licked the plate clean but apparently that's frowned upon in public settings. 🤦🏾♂️
As we were settling up our bill, ridiculously inexpensive btw, the owner mentioned that VegOttawa Association members recieve 10% off of vegan menu items from his cafe. Guess who's becoming a member? 😊
