Hünkar Begendi (The sultan’s favorite)

This was the highlight of our dinner. Vegan kofte (meatballs) with creamy eggplant sauce topped with a roasted pepper and pickled vegetables on the side. The flavors were just incredible and the creamy sauce was to die for! At 35 Turkish lira it was the priciest dish in the menu but definitely worth it!
