I went for the triple chocolate doughnut, but it was sold out. So I bought
this one. The custard didn't taste like much, but the doughnut did satisfy an unhealthy craving.
The donut is dense, not fluffy, but somewhat rescued by the filling, which is a
little lighter than the traditional creme filling in a Boston creme. The chocolate coating is nice.
This was lovely :) nice dark chocolate glaze with a sweet cream filling. Delicious with
a black coffee
I absolutely love Grumpy & Runts donuts (they are my undoing!) but this one while
really good does not rate up there in terms of originality or taste … it’s a bit bland compared to some of their other creations. If you are looking for a more simple option then this is for you … if you want a decadent flavor bomb then rather try another option.
