Checked with staff and was told it is
vegan.
For $6.80, you get mee pok with slivers of mushroom, 1 fishball, 2 meatballs, a dumpling, some bits of mock meat, mince meat and a leaf of lettuce.
The mee pok was quite Q, even for a takeway order.
The sauce is quite salty so must mix well to avoid uneven taste. Tastes better when chilli is added. Default dish is without chilli.
Dumpling tastes quite bland and the filling is the same as the meatballs, so it just feels like eating the same thing but with a clumpy flour skin.
The fishball, meatballs, etc are average.
Overall, an OK rendition of Bak Chor Mee but there are better ones I have eaten.
For those who miss Bak Chor Mee, this is a fairly decent substitute. Not great, but decent.
