Sesame rice topped with crispy fried beancurd skin pieces, soy 'chicken drumstick', braised tau kwa

and shiitake mushrooms, stir-fried cabbage with black fungus and carrot, as well as Hainanese curry potato and tau pok with a drizzle of dark soy sauce. Served with a complimentary bowl of lotus root soup. I believe this was a recent seasonal special that has since ended, and is now exclusively available only at the Greendot Plus Jewel branch! Delicious though tasted kind of like normal curry cai PNG (economic rice) haha. Definitely a

little pricey due to its location in changi jewel! The ambience was good! Very nice and cosy restaurant especially during off-peak hours. Also, parents ordered the usual bento which looks super good and atas (high class), didn't have the photo with me:(. Overall, thumbs up!


I have no higher praise for this, absolutely superb šŸ¤¤ I used to religiously go

to PrivƩ upstairs whenever flying back out of Changi, but recently I've discovered that there's much more in Jewel. And this place probably tops the lot, offering equivalent quality (higher perhaps, for local dishes like this) at about half the price.

#hainanesechickenrice is sinful predominantly for the lethal cocktail of sauces that they give you with the #chicken, and I'm so so glad that the healthful brigade haven't got their hands on the recipes here yet šŸ˜Š The dark sauce added dimensions to this rice dish that would convert the staunchest omnivore, and the #curry is creamy and rich. (Said curry contains #potato, how #carbilicious šŸ˜‹)

Itā€™s basically their #beancurd take on #hainanesechickenrice as they do with their regular #chickenrice but topped with a sweet #vegancurry šŸ„˜ I think #beancurdskin makes such a good stand-in for #chicken when done like this ā€” A harder outer shell for the ā€œskinā€ while maintaining a soft inside šŸ¤¤

Itā€™s just such good value ans unbelievably phenomenal šŸ™Œ Itā€™s unlike anything else #hainanese I know, but I canā€™t complain. Itā€™s perfect šŸ‘Œ
