Takuan (沢庵) is a pickled preparation of daikon radish.
It is a very traditional Japanese dish, and it's one of the many tsukemono ('pickled things') you can find in traditional Japanese cuisine 🥢
This one they make is delicious 😋
The taste is really specific, so it might not be for everyone (at first I didn't love it either 🙈). But it kind of grows on you 😂
