Today, I visited Hanami Restaurant, a #chinese and Japanese fusion place. 🇨🇳🇯🇵 As it turns out, the restaurant was quite #veganfriendly! 💚🌱 I know #american Chinese food 🥡 is often criticized for not being authentic, but I think it deserves appreciation. ☺️ It was made from Chinese immigrants who were working in an unfamiliar environment with unfamiliar ingredients, and despite this, it gradually became quite popular in the U.S. 😯 It’s definitely a monument to the unique cuisine of the Chinese diaspora. As for the dish itself, it consists of #broccoli 🥦, #chilli peppers 🌶️, red #bellpeppers, and #crispy #tofu, with the option of either white #rice or #brownrice. 🌾 There was also a very #tasty #sweetandsour sauce. 😋 For a price of $16.00, it wasn’t too expensive, especially since the portion sizes are quite generous. I’d definitely recommend sharing or splitting it up over the course of a few meals to #savemoney. 👍 Perhaps I’ll revisit in the future! 😄 #veganisnotscary #veganfortheanimals ❤️ #veganfortheplanet 🌎 #chinesefood #tofulover
