A huge shout out to Gabriel‘s! I left (erm… to pet Artemis, a lovely dog)
my partner to order. He got a vegan burger and ordered me the hash, not knowing that it wasn’t vegan and that he had to ask them to veganize it. As we were sitting drinking our lovely lattes, I asked him if he remembered and he told me he didn’t even know to ask. As I headed inside to rectify it, a server was bringing our food out. She was so cool about fixing OUR mistake and said the food would not be wasted (which would’ve put me in a huge dilemma!) since she hadn’t set it down in front of me. I love this place!. But today was extra special, it was sunny and beautiful – summer in October on Vancouver Island. People sitting out with their dogs underneath their tables… Swoon…
The hash was delicious as usual, featuring green beans and cauliflower that have been roasted on the barbecue and sprouts and potatoes and peppers and tofu and… and… (it’s hash!) and an amazing salsa… And I do mean Amazing!
