Their karaage are on crunchy side but still juicy at the same time. Just addicted to it
This is one of the dishes I chose for a four dish platter which included a daily salad and side. Very good fried soy meat! Like I said, the soy meat in Japan all tasted very nice, tender and juicy. This one was like a karaage fried with some seasoning and bean paste. Very salty, had to eat with rice.
This place is located in a food hall in Shinjuku. It is 100% vegan and had lots of dishes that I wanted to try! This is one of the 3 small dishes I got on this visit. It's soy meat karaage and I have tried lots of different types of vegan karaage and was interested to see how this compared. There are several sauces that it could come with and I opted for "Spicy Chinese" (piri kara chuuka). The dish came out very crunchy, somewhat oily and perhaps over cooked? I don't think it's the best karaage I've had and I don't think I paired it with the right sauce lol. I probably would skip this next time or if I did order again, would get a different sauce. It was priced at ¥660 - same as the other small dishes of this size. #veganjapan #japan #tokyo
My husband found this vegan restaurant and we couldnt wait to try. The service is kinda slow even if there werent ppl at all. We tried many other vegan chicken and this one wasnt the best we had sadly.. i think they fried in oil for too much time and was very difficult to eat (the taste inside was great). With the fried chicken you can choose the sauce and i tried the basil one, but wasnt so good… very disappointing. Staff not so good
