Fresh is the first real restaurant that showed me that vegan food can be just
as amazing as anything else! I am no cook- so becoming vegan as a teen, & a vegetarian since I can remember(i was truly born this way)- in a family of meat eaters was extremely difficult. I had to work since very young just to b able to afford proper vegan nutrition. I had to put my #FAITH in #HUMANITY, that I will suffer, get laughed at & eat cardboard cuz ONE DAY, someone else will make me something so much better. I was right.
You get tired of eating baked tofu and lentils after a while, even though that's truly the cleanest! I still support Fresh because the people that work there are lovely, but my issue is with the owner. I have heard bare rumors of cultural appropriation, the owner wearing a Canada Goose, I know someone that got fired on the spot for GETTING INJURED ON THE JOB(won the case in court). My loyalty keeps me going back. But it won't last forever. I am already finding better places. The competition is here to stay. I wanna know how come she doesn't have time for any public events, no support for the vegan community by showing up to support or even making a simple comment publicly. Stay in ur safe zone alright.
