If you tried their #economyrice in the past and didn’t like it, I recommend you try them again! 😋 They have seriously stepped up their game 🙌 Their selection is far more varied and enticing than it’s ever been! Especially those #fritters they have! 🍢 On Sunday they had #mushrooms in them & today, #pumpkin 🎃 Not to mention the great choice of vegetables! 🥬 The price point is about what you’d expect for #mixedrice — anything from RM4-8 based on what you get. If they have fried #veganfish with #curry leaves I highly recommend getting it 🐟 One unfortunate omission is the lack of #brownrice or #purplerice, something I take for granted in more health-oriented or #dayak establishments 🍚 A whole vegetarian #foodcourt full of amazing Malaysian #hawkerfood 🤗 Absolutely #bestpicks this #kopitiam! #veganinkuching #malaysianeats #cheapandgood

It’s so cool, I finally found a vegetarian place in Kuching that’s got multiple stalls under the same lot. On a weekday lunch rush, economy rice is the most efficient way to go 😎#veganatwork FYI the rice portion you’re looking at is actually half the norm. Personally, I prefer less rice and more veggies + protein. Everything tasted great. They even give the healthier purple rice 🤩 I got a simple dark stir fried okra, dark soy sauce fried tofu and what seems like vegetarian butter chicken. The dark soy tofu was too salty for me though. Due to the language barrier (I am banana 🤫🍌), I forgot to check about butter while confirming there was no milk in the mock chicken. I highly suspect the butter was not vegan. However, this dining experience was an absolute textural tragedy. The #rice was absurdly dry, but nothing was as unpleasant as the hard a$$ tofu that as-salt-ed my mouth. While not a great dining experience, it was pretty very cheap considering it was RM 5. Also, props for them not being too stingy with the servings 👏 There’s still a lot to explore, I see potential but beware of the ones that are only #vegetarian ☝️
