Eating vegan food after finals to accumulate good karma for the bell curve gods(不是
This

was served bubbling with lots of kimchi/cabbage(?), enoki mushrooms and big blocks of tofu!! They gave both ramen and rice so this was a very very filling meal! The spice level was manageable for a person with low spice tolerance like me

Daehwa Vegetarian is conveniently located at One North MRT Station. I tried the budae jjigae

army stew main ($13, no service charge). I liked how they provided a vegetarian meal that closely replicated that of the real thing – a bowl of refreshingly sour and spicy soup with instant noodles, glass noodles, rice cake, enoki mushrooms, smooth tofu, mock spam, and mock sausage. There was also a bowl of wholegrain rice that was plain on its own but nice to eat with the leftover soup as well as banchan small side dishes.

while the mock meat doesnt fully replicate the meaty taste of non-vegetarian army stews, i

think this was a good attempt at making a vegan army stew!

filling meal:)

Was pleasantly surprised by this place! First time at a Korean plant-based restaurant and definitely

will return to try other dishes :)

This army stew tastes q similar to the real deal! It comes with the usual ingredients, excluding meat but they brilliantly used mock sausages and luncheon meat as replacement which tasted really delicious btw. Soup is just the right amount of spice, broth is thick and shiok. Also comes with plenty of kimchi, a few slices of rice cakes and enoki mushroom! And a bowl of purple rice.

💰 $14++ for this size (suitable for one pax)

Very generous helping of army stew (including noodles) paired off with purple rice. 'Sausage' was

quite authentic, while the vegetables and straw mushrooms gave a good 'crunch'. Soup base was sufficiently spicy to have some kick (with some cut chilli pieces) without leaving a burning sensation in the mouth. Love that this place supports having an inclusive workplace including hiring people with special needs.

Working in this area today and finally i get to try this eatery.Been craving for

Korean lately.

Ordered d vegan version of the Army stew.
Tasty, spicy enough for me, simple and it feels healthy.
The plant based luncheon meat was ok tasting, the sausage was nice.

Nice feel at this place as it wasn't crowded(past d peak hour crowd period).

Would definitely come back here to try other dishes if i'm working in this area.

Eating this made me feel like a sailor on a Geobukseon which was the first

ironclad made. The soup was spicy but savoury at the same time and the kimchi really warms your stomach!

Loved it so much.
Spicy.tangy. flavorful.
You can choose rice or noodles; we opted for noodles ofcourse!!

Not my favourite, liked the tofu but not the soup and were not a lot

of noodles
