💟 The butterfly pea flower coconut steam rice is nicely presented in a unique triangular-shaped

plate lined with banana leaf. It comes with sambal vegan "fish", tempeh and long beans. The rice smells and tastes good, sambal vegan "fish" is delicious and its serving portion is sufficient. In my opinion, this dish equips with these three principles of a good dish - sight (色), smell (香) and taste (味). Overall, it's a satisfactory meal and value for money. #nasilemak #sgfavourites #asiafav #vegan #feature #govegan #veganism #whatveganseat #bluepeaflower

Note:
This is my first review here. 😃

This restaurant really has a feel good ambience. They serve their dishes in traditional wares

that feel very authentic and homely. This nasi lemak was perfect - if not for it being too spicy for me 🥵🌶 The butterfly pea 🦋 makes the nasi lemak such a beautiful blue that's natural some more! It is pretty lemak, but I find even the most lemak rice tend to get overpowered by the sambal. Had thought this was rendang when the dish came but quickly realised that it was 3 slices of mock fish in generous amounts of sambal chilli. Should ask for less spicy next time. The chilli also has some veggies in it that remind me of onion. It was so spicy I couldn't really enjoy it comfortably unfortunately. There is a nice piece of vegan otah on the side that has a "shrimpy" aroma as it should be. The fried long beans were so nice. They have something scrambled in them idk what it is and I couldn't tell if they were spicy as the sambal was already so spicy. Peanuts were such a great addition and crunch, it would be even better if they had mock ikan bilis too. The cucumber provided a much-needed respite from the spiciness. The best part was the tempeh chips. Tempeh and nasi lemak are a perfect combination. I do slightly prefer to have more tempeh and whole foods over mock fish, which is also good. Like how OG Lemak has whole foods of vegetables, tofu and lots of tempeh - I love that combination. This came to $17.50 with service charge. Pretty expensive, but I think the quality of food and ambience is good. Not something I'll have every meal though given the price. #traditionalfood

Finally tried this after seeing @choyyuen's reviews. The rice was super soft not very lemak

but subtle. Tempeh was a bit cold but while small it's dense and the portions filled me up! The sambal vegan "fish" had a good kick of spice. Long beans were slightly dehydrated but had good flavour. Will be back to try the rest.

Favourite flavour of that day was the sweet sambal Chili sauce from this dish!!! A

very nice variety and textures from ingredients in this Nasi lemak.
The sambal was generous but it also looks like a heapload bc there was large mock fish(?) pieces hidden underneath it.
Definitely colourful, presentable& appetising as a Nasi lemak
The popular favourite of this restaurant given that almost every review I’ve seen be people ordering this 😂

Totally enjoy this dish. The sambal is sweet and spicy with a real kick. The

rice is fragrant and tasty. The mock has good texture too.

Rice had a nice coconutty flavor - sambal was too spicy for me. Overall great!

One of the best nasi lemak ever eaten. The restaurant has shifted. Do check out
