Chinese Vegetarian Chicken Rice

It’s really all the usual suspects when I’m in KL 😜 So, I definitely wasn’t going to make pass on Blue Boy 🧞‍♂️ Especially in a country where most of our mothers are green 🗽 #makkauhijau ✊ I was honestly just copying @m1tch9i when I ordered this 🫣 My lack of sleep has left me raw-dogging sentience recently and given how good their #chillisauce is? Heckin #worthit 💯 You won’t find a #veganchickenrice quite as #chickenrice as this because ☝️ their #veganchicken comes in the three varieties 💥 1. Frikkin #seitan — For them #protein goths 2. Flippin #beancurdskin — For the flavours of the world to offer 🌎 3. Weird white steamed #tofu thing — For extra “omg whaaatt” effects at 11am in the afternoon 😱 Truly #soyummy 🫄🫃🤰 The rice is even more rice than you can even imagine. It’s not #hainanese but it’s up there 🛸

I’m back in Singapore after Veg Fest KL 4 🎉 …and I’m already missing the cheap & far more delicious food in Malaysia 😝 Especially this amazing #chickenrice! On my way back to Singapore though I knew it was going to be a long bus ride so I thought to pack this in my Stojo — and top it off with a can of #mince from a halfway opened can of Meamo Foods I thought would cure my hangover at 4am 😂 Not just in KL for food, you see 😛 The #veganchicken is really just about standard I’d say but the #vegetarianmockgoose / #veganduck, basically just #beancurd, was really well flavoured. It’s all in the rice 🍚 and the #chillisauce anyways though and they served! 🌶️ RM8 for this? You’ve got to be kidding me 🤌 Fantastic!

Everything that #chickenrice should be! ❤❤❤ The chilli, the spiced rice, the cucumber on the side, all down to a tee. Except there was no chicken, obviously 😛 This instead came with three sides - braised soy meat, chunky tofu, and fried crispy beancurd skin. #comfortfood #veganisnotscary #malaysianeats And it's like RM8 😄
