Chicharrón Tacos

The texture is kind of addicting. A nice satisfying crisp. This one was a favorite among my family.

The old Vegatinos food truck now has a physical location in Van Nuys under a new name. There are the basics: street tacos, burritos, tortas, etc., and a choice of six “meats” (though one is mushroom and one is jackfruit). This is two tacos with their chicharrón (fried “pork”). It was my favorite of the five meats we tried. Crunchy and authentic. Again they’re on the dry side, even though these had a sauce of some kind ( the other three didn’t), but not quite enough.
