I was in the mood to try something new. I was curious about the noCrab

Cakes so I thought I’d give them a try.

These noCrab Cakes are made with chickpeas, mushrooms and seasonings. There did seem to be some red pepper in the cakes also. These cakes are baked and not fried, which is a plus in my opinion. They are served with a house made tartar sauce. This dish is also soy-free.

The flavor was unique. There isn’t an overwhelming seafood taste to them. When I got them, they were fresh from the oven and I had to allow them to cool before eating them. The tartar sauce was quite good. There seemed to be some dill in it which is fine with me since I like dill flavoring. The noCrab Cake dipped in the tartar sauce gave it added flavor.

The cakes come with a side of slaw, but I substituted the vegan macaroni and cheese which I have reviewed earlier.
