Calamari

This was quite a surprise! I think it would be better changed it an appetizer with a smaller portion but still very yummy. However the black rice was not needed, maybe a side salad would have been a nice freshness to add. Calamari itself was crunchy and meaty from the mushroom, great sauce too!

Au lac is an amazing restaurant with so many great options to choose from. I tried the calamari because I’ve never seen vegan calamari before. The portion was huge and was my lunch and dinner. Deep fried king oyster mushrooms served over black rice with a spicy sauce. It was delicious 😋

The texture of these calamari is insane! Comes with delicious purple rice and a spicy sauce. So good!

Chef Ito does it again!! I have never had calamari when I wasn’t vegan, so I had nothing to compare it to, but man was this good! It’s brand new and was recommended to me by the staff and I can’t get over how delicious it was.
