I finally had the pleasure of visiting Akadi at their new location since their move
from NE MLK St. The new space is big with lots of light. ☀️ All of their hanging plants are beautiful. 🌱
This dish was incredible for any mushroom lover. 🍄
It consists of a mix of mushrooms grilled and blackened to perfection, with a peanut suya seasoning. The menu lists onion and tomato, but we did not see those, perhaps they marinate the mushrooms before grilling(?) These mushrooms were reminiscent of what we remember steak tasting like, minus the cruelty and cholesterol. 😊 This dish is served with plantains or fries, and plantains were an easy choice for me.
