Unfortunately the staff here doesn’t know what dairy (much less vegan) is. So I asked
the staff at the counter if the tofu rice box contains mayo, or anything made with milk. She said no, and told me it’s only tofu and rice.
Received tofu and rice and a coleslaw. So I asked the staff in the kitchen if the coleslaw had dairy, he said: “no, it’s cabbage”. Asked him if it’s made with cow’s milk or anything similar, he said: “no, just mayonnaise”. 😖 What a waste of coleslaw.
All that confusion aside, this isn’t the most creative dish but at least there’s a veg option. The tofu is really crispy and solid on the outside with a sauce that’s quite sweet and slightly spicy.
