Veganized Mapo Tofu

Absolutely living for this 😋 Can’t wait to introduce @synthwave0470 to all the amazing vegan

foods in Singapore! You will have to #veganize this, but the staff at restaurant seem to ✨ just get it 💖 Oh course I was here with my abillion colleagues so I didn’t have to put too much care into ordering 😛 Super good, not numbing unlike most #szechuan dishes and also not #spicy! The portions are huuuuggggeee though! 🤰 There’s absolutely no way we would’ve been able to finish it if not for how absolutely amazing it is 🤤

I never specifically asked for vegan. I just let the staff know i wanted mapo

tofu (vege) dish. Can someone let me know why this need specified asking ? Because this veg logo mapo tofu (see portion of the menu photo uploaded) seems pretty vegan to me without even specially asking to veganised .. hmm there’s dairy or is it cause there’s a non veg version? Anw love this!

If you know anything about me you’ll know I’m a fiend for spicy food. And

#mapotofu is one of those dishes that I’ll search the ends of the earth for. Tofu cooked in Sichuan peppercorn broth, scallions and usually served with pork. The trick is to find a place that can #veganize it.

The folks at Chengdu crushed this dish. Think this is my new favorite mapo tofu in Singapore and that’s a big feat!

easily accessible to everyone because it’s not so #spicy and the MSG content feels just right to pair with a nice serving of white rice 🍚

watered 🤤 Also, yes. This needed to be #veganized 😛

I still remember how explosively #savoury and #spicy the whole experience was 🤪 The tofu was nice, soft, and without that sour smell so we knew it was fresh 😋 I just love 😍 this dish when it’s done right. Hints of sweet in the lava of salty goodness 😜

The portion ain’t bad for $12.80 🤓

Another great dish at Chengdu. Honestly, everything was so good. This tofu was just firm

enough and the sauce was luscious, the perfect paring with the rice and noodles we ordered.

Well this tofu was my protein for my dinner. #latepost
On it's own, it was

just very average, but I highly recommend to order this together with the vegetable fried rice(which was cooked in fragrant peanut oil). Together, they make an amazing mind-blowing combination.

Good lord this was #sogood 🤤 I love soft tofu!! And this was full of

flavor with some beans too! Very spicy.
