Oscar Mayer just released a new #veganhotdog, their first ever, in collaboration with NotCo. I was very excited to try it but was super disappointed, unfortunately. First just by sight they are very red in color and have a thin casing, which is gross to me. The flavor was a little too much, too bright and a fake tasting - hard to explain. It's also very high in sodium, as is the case with many #fauxmeat. But what really ruined it for me was the texture - it was super soft and spongy. I don't remember what a real hot dog is like anymore, but if it's like this, we are not missing out at all.
Very disappointed; sorry for the negative review!
