I went to yoga with a friend and she asked me to find a restaurant for lunch afterwards. There surprisingly wasn't a ton of vegan options at restaurants in the area #dobetter But I found this place on the app and they havd #veganoptions
I was soooo excited to see a vegan spanakopita! I had 2 while in Greece like 5 years ago, and never since. I knew I had to get this!
It technically was a #spinach and #leek #pie. It was around $7.
It was HUGE and very filling. I didn't expect it to be. One thing about it was that it was insanely oily. I normally am of the belief that #sweetdreamsaremadeofgrease, but this was too much grease in this case.
It was legitimately dripping down my arms. It was waaaayyyy too oily. I felt sick for like 2 hours after eating this. It tasted decent going down, but the oil. Gosh. I will not be getting this again, but I'm glad I tried it. The flavour was nice overall and the pastry part was cool. The filling was even good. But the oil! THE OIL!
