Only in Portland can you get vegan deli meat at a grocery store. I feel so lucky I have this option! I made a ham and cheese sandwich using Prime Roots Vegan Ham and it tasted just like its supposed to! Pleasantly surprised by this nice treat. I made the sandwich with the ham, violife cheddar slices, trader joes truffle aioli, ciabatta bread, and a little bit of avocado. Toasted and slightly melty. The texture is softer than what I remember of ham and I wonder how it would hold up if I pan fried it like I used to. Definitely recommend trying once!
